The 0 to 5 scale
Other habit trackers ask: did you do it? Mitia asks: how much? Every check-in is a value from 0 to 5. Ten minutes of walking on a slow day is a 2, and it counts.
Check in with one tap
A tap on the button next to a habit records a solid 3. For most days that's all you need.
More or less: hold
If it was more or less than a 3, hold the button. The scale opens in the same place, and you pick the value that fits the day.
Three states, not two
On any given day a habit can be one of three things:
- No entry. An open ring, no colour, no blame.
- Not today, recorded. That's the 0. You decided something else mattered more today.
- 1 to 5. How much it was.
The difference between "nothing recorded" and "not today" is where a tracker starts to feel either like a tool or like a supervisor. So a 0 isn't a failure. It's an entry.
Forgot a day?
Fill it in later. The month calendar shows where nothing is recorded yet, and one tap sets the value.
